A graphic showing the visible content (or parts of it) of a computer screen. Screenshots are often used for documention (e.g. for manuals) or as evidence. There are many tools for taking a screenshot and basic tools are usually part of the operating system.
In Windows you can take screenshoots by pressing "ALT" + "PRINT" and then copy it to a graphic program (e.g. the "Paint" tool) by activating it and then pressing "CTRL" + "V". As the screenshot is from then on a normal graphic you can manipulate and save it like any other picture.
