A link is a connection to another website in the Internet. By activating a link (e.g. by clicking it with the mouse) the targeted website will automatically be loaded.
Most links appear as texts and it is common to mark them by giving them a deep blue color and underlining them. But it is also possible for the designers of a website to use a picture instead of a text as a link. Most browsers mark links by swictiching the apperance of the mouse pointer from arrow to a hand when it is moved onto a link. This is made to help identifying links more easy.
